On sunday, after church, the girls (which included, nat, sarah, juni, vera) went to play frisbee @ sentosa with our teachers, gracie, azmi and justin (our P6 teacher). The surprising thing was, that no boys from our class went. Yes, and its kinda ironic, or weird because well normally boys take part in sports more actively than girls, but in this case its the exact opposite! It really breaks the stereotype of girls. Which is good of course. =) i guess. but bad for boys.
Anyways, the day went great. We played. We had fun. We were happy.
Oh yes, thank God for the
awesome weather. Yes, i said awesome.
Because these few days, it has been raining quite a bit. But not on sunday.
Not on
that particular sunday.
In fact, the weather was so good, that the sun wasn't too hot, and there was a little drizzle,
but than again, it was a little drizzle.
The whole day was kept cool.
Because God answered my prayers.
Yes, prayer works.
You better believe it. ;)
We did have a bit of problem going there at first though.
After eating at Seah Im, we headed to vivo.
Unfortunately, the queue for the train to sentosa was longer than long.
It was VERY VERY VERY x a
googolplex long. Yes, it was
that long.
After much deliberation, we decided to take the bus there.
Which was a good idea, because the bus didn't take long to arrive.
And so, we were on our way to sentosa.
To what would be a very frisbee-filled afternoon!
When we got there, the weather was awesome like i said.
Not too hot, not too cold.
Just nice.
So than we played.
and played.
and played.
and played.
We swooped teams occasionally.
Juniper always marked me, and i always marked her.
I think she did a much better job if you minus the fact that
she was holding my hand when i was trying to get the frisbee. (FYI, this is not allowed if you play properly, not that we weren't but you get what i mean.)
But than again i did that to her too. (;
So it was all in good will and fun.
Azmi tried to play, to the delight of my friends.
We found him, well, 'cute'.
If you might say. Yes, but that cute, the other cute.
We appreciated that at least he tried.
Thats what counts ;)
And also he took glorious shots with his canon camera.
I was competing with him.
He won only because he was using a canon camera (which could select colours to emphasize on... and a WHOLE lot of other stuff..)
After frisbee, we headed back to mainland Singapore to eat.
We unanimously decided to eat @ vivo after i finally managed to convince juni.
We ate downstairs at kopitiam because it was cheaper comparatively to the other hawker centers in vivo.
Justin, our ex-teacher, was well, lets just say i got to see the true side of him.
Endless chatter, comments, re-enactments of the day all done by him.
Yup, i didn't know he talk
that much either.
So, after dinner we split or splited (if there is such a word) up.
Well, mostly justin, cause nat's mom was kind enough to send me home, and we decided to walk juni to the bus-stop. To make sure she was safe and sound. :)
Sigh what can i say? We are good friends. Or reliable friends. haha.
As we walked we talked.
And as we did that, we attracted quite a bit of attention.
But it wasn't intentional.
We were laughing and just being silly.
Which of course attracts attention.
Mainly because,
1. people are curious (kay-poh, singaporean way of saying curious)
2. people envy us.
I mean who doesn't like to laugh right???
Maybe their thinking, "sigh, i wish i were like that too.."
You know how i know?
I get that feeling too when i see people laugh.
Its a natural reaction.
Because naturally people want to be happy.
Who wants to be sad??
Anyways, after we sent juni to the bus stop, her bus soon arrived and we left. (nat and i)
That was sunday.
Today. Wednesday. 1 day after christmas.
I had to wake up at an unearthly hour (7 40am) for band.
The symphonic band in which is my Co-Curriculum activity aka CCA.
But, band wasn't all that bad after you get over the fact that you have to wake up at an unearthly hour for it.
I got to play the timpani!
Yup, i had to read a musical score.
For real.
It was challenging but fun.
In case you are not sure what timpani's are, there are these huge looking drums,
that are actually tuned to notes like (eg:G,F,B-flat,C)
It was good.
Band was.
Except for the part where we had to 'exercise'.
Anyways, enough on band.
Today, is the first day sistic has put switchfoot's concert on their website!!
Check it out!
Here. Link on the 'here'.
Booking starts on the 31st Dec.
Good yet bad.
Good because we can start ordering.
Bad because it's the last day of the year. (as well as holidays, which signify the start of school)
bummer.
Oh well, lets be thankful eh?
At least there was a break :)
Oh and if you know me and want to come for the switchfoot concert, pls comment or email me @ priscillacomiccooper@msn.com so that we can buy as a big o group which means more discounts. :)
Peace,
pris.
