"Its all a facade...."

lately, i haven't been blogging much.
because i haven't had much time.
also, lately, i have been using the word 'facade' alot.
and mostly it was meant as a joke or a catchphrase i used in school or
maybe it was because it was a word we had to spell for spelling.
but lately, i just realised that people do put on alot of facades.
it was like the truth of this word finally began to sink in..
and i think, almost everyone does one way or another put on a facade.
(i included of course)
which is why, maybe perhaps we can't judge or categorize people or think that we've got them all figured out just after spending a week with them or so.
i realized that as we spend more time with these people, the facades start to fade away, and soon their real personalities and who they are come to light.
sometimes it also could take a life time figuring somebody out.
an entire life time.
and even so than, we might not know exactly, who this person really is.
and just imagine, we thought we had this person all figured out after seeing him/her at school for a year, when we really, actually, don't even have a clue.
sometimes we pass judgment so quickly.
sometimes we are so superficial we don't see what's underneath that smile or hurtful words.
(like for eg: this week i told one person straight to his face that i disliked him. - yeah that was bad.. real bad and it was done out of reteliation by the way).
we just pass that person off as an 'idiot'.
we fail to see that with every symptom, lies the root problem.
we haven't got enough time to bother to stop, think, and analyze the root problem.
we become: apathetic to others.
we don't realize that when we say certain things to others, it has an impact on them, even when it is meant to be a joke.
i guess we just have to slow down and not say things without thinking about the consequences, or possible effects and repercussions it might have on others.

anyways, aside from that weird-spur-of-the-moment-deep-self-reflecting-/-provoking-thought..
yesterday we lost to xin min sec at JG's.
which i believe we could actually have won.
we lost by 0.5. pathetic really, we could have won.
today's agenda is a little more simpler and hopefully less depressing.
next week: i have a bio and a math test to prepare for.
i figure i had to start studying bio now, today, because other than that i won't have much time to prepare for it. see... i can already foresee the circumstances ahead.
next week might be busy.
so i had, had better start studying now.
its now or never.
procrastination is the friend of my enemy which still makes him my enemy.
anyways aside from academics, i also have to be at church at 530pm today.
to set up something for the youth service.
(note to self: keep it real. keep Jesus real.)
yes.. lately i have been neglecting QT and all.
work work work you see.
but still no excuse.
so yeap thats pretty much all for now.

Crossing the Country.

Man, the pictures are SO blur.
Horrible.

Cross the Country.

Today was cross country day.
Surprisingly it was very fun.
I didnt know why all of a sudden our class (3A) became so enthu and high before the race.
But after the race, everyone was too shacked to do anything.
AND!
WE TOOK GAZILLIONS OF PHOTOS!!!!!!!
But not on my phone so you'll just have to wait till my friends upload it.
To add on to the festive mood,
Our class won overall champions of the whole sec 3 level!
whoa! whoa!
So pro.
We're too pro already.
And also, i was particulary proud of myself for attaining 3rd in my class for the mass run.
I was probably around 20 something to 30 something place in the whole level.
Priscilla Lim has clearly out done herself today.
Cheers!

"Our God is an awesome God He Reigns,
From heaven above with wisdom, power and love,
Our God is an awesome God."

Yesteday, was our first time in 'A' div for debate.
We lost to MGS by a point. 1 point.

Thank God for an awesome start to the season.

Exhausted but Happy.

This past week (the week that has just passed) has got to be THE MOST HECTIC and DRAINING week i've ever had in my entire life. I am not going to go on and ramble about the week but instead i'll just tell you what i enjoyed the most.

Yesterday, on Friday, after band my friends and i went down to vivo to have dinner, to you know relax and unwind. After dinner, we went up onto the roof of vivo.
It was magnificent.
Okay maybe the skyline wasn't exactly picture perfect and all.
But the conversations and the wind made everything feel alright.
It was as if for that moment all my troubles and anxieties were gone with the wind as we went on talking. (God knows i needed that)
And so....THAT, was the most enjoyable thing of my stressful cum hectic cum draining week.
Its like the simple things such as hanging out with a bunch of your friends, talking and letting the wind blow in your face that really relaxes you and cheers you up.
Not heavy duty playing of the PSP or something.

And so, i am thankful for that. =)
Thank God for that.

You Know You're Sec 3 When......

Your bag is too small to hold all your books.
I just packed my bag and its exploding.
I need a bigger bag.

So its 2009......

That was fast wasn't it?
Since we entered 2009 i've been so busy.
Like REAL busy.
School, Sec 1 orientation (which i use to resent but now have almost come to terms with it but still..), church and all that.
School's really hectic though.
From marching in CCA to asking questions in (Ms) Terri Tan's class (BIO!! Which by the way TOTALLY ROCKS.)
So far so many things have happened that,
Its almost like a blur now.
Can't really recall.
Oh and yes today,
We went to Nat's house to celebrate her birthday.
I thought it was fun.
Her house was nice.
Real big, windy, kinda like the open concept.
Nat was such a gracious host.
We were the almost-obnoxious guests.
But yeah it was fun.
Oh and yesterday we had Undignified.
Which was REAL fun.
Nowadays i realise i encounter through learning more,
Rather than feeling.
Which is a good thing sometimes.
Like theres alot of input.
Good Input.

Tomorrow i've school, than dental appointment than band.
In the right order.
Hope tomorrow will be fun.
Fun.fun.fun.

(oh my i sound so unenthusiastic about it and i wonder why.)

Wrapped In Your Arms - FireFlight.

Wrapped In Your Arms - Fireflight

Is this the whole picture
Or is it just the start?
Is this the way you love me?
You're capturing my heart
I used to try and walk alone
But I've begun to grow
And when you tell me just to rest
I'm finally letting go
I let go

And I'm here to stay
Nothing can separate us
And I know, I'm ok
You cradle me gently
Wrapped in your arms.... I'm home

I'm seeing so much clearer
Looking through your eyes
I could never find a safer place
Even if I tried
All the times I've needed you
You've never left my side
I'm clinging to your every word
Don't ever let me go
Don't let go

The Things We do @ campFREE:

Found this picture so hilarious i had to put it here.
By the way thats a torn raw chicken (dead already of course) that i am holding.
As you can see i am sighing in disapproval.

Theology.

The Study of God.
The Study of the One who created this:

Just Amazing.
Simple So Amazing.
Come to think of it why don't we study "Theology" in school?
I bet it will also help to explain geography. And history.
And Biology. And Chemistry. And Physics.
And.......................

camppyFREEY

Hmmm.
Theres something really amazing about watching people bawling their eyes out on bended knees in worship. Really there is. You know for sure without a hint of doubt that something is happening. Something that we cannot visually see with our physical eyes, is happening.
Or perhaps more like something is STIRRING.
How was campFREE?
It was PHENOMENAL.
And the most phenomenal thing about it, wasn't just what had happened at the camp.
It is what was and is to follow, after the camp.
Thats the most phenomenal thing, because it has a LASTING eternal effect on people's lives.

For most camps that i've personally been to, they always like david said have this standard, trademark "ATSL" night. (ATSL by the way stands for As The Spirit Leads).
And the campers all go like Spiritually 'high' and all that.
Than, after the camp when they return back to their oh so mundane lives, they just get stuck into that cycle of the world.
But i don't know for me, this camp, campFREE has a lasting effect.
Its not just about what happens at the camp but its about what happens AFTER the camp that is REALLY important.
Its about CHOOSING DAILY.
Its about the choices we make in everyday life that make the difference.
An encounter with God is somewhat 'useless' if your life doesn't change after that.
Yeah sure you can bawl your eyeballs out during worship like nobody's business and still, the very next day, swear. Cuss. Get drunk. Idolize your favourite hot male/female stars. Fantasize about them.

So to me, personally, one of the many things i've learnt at campFREE is what i am going to do with my life after campFREE.
Whether i choose to live the same way, or choose to never be the same ever again and choose God. (Life)
"Life is about choices" - probably by someone who says cliche stuff? Haha.
But its really true.

Ever since campFREE, i've REALLY started to get excited.
Getting excited for the things God is gonna do.
What God can do, and what God is GONNA do.
The possibilities are endless. (No really they are.)
What i've learnt over the camp and these few days cannot be contained into this blogpost.
Its.... somewhat.....
Really hard to pen down SO MANY things all at one go.
Its like.... you know you have so much things to say to a friend you've never seen in like 10 years and than when you finally see her/him, you just start babbling???
Yes its sort of like that.
But all in all,
At the end of the day all can say, or all i wanna say should be something like.....
Whoa.
When things are too much to take in all at once..... you just go WHOA.
