Juniper's Concert and the Yong something something Conservatory of Music

Today, or rather tonight i went to Juniper's cresent choir concert at the Yong something something Conservatory of Music @ NUS.
The place was really cool, like the hall where they performed was pretty impressive.
It reminded me somewhat of the Esplanade's hall (even though i have never been in it before... But i saw the news and they shown it so yeah.)
I was there early, pretty proud of that too.
A few minutes earlier than nat.
Even prouder of that.
When i first got there it was kinda weird, like i felt like i was a total outsider, everyone there seemed to be a cresentian or at least an ex-cresentian.
Kinda out of place.
Than nat came.
So it felt a little better but still..... You know..
Cresentny.

Once we got into the hall,
We sat next to Juni's family.
Jasmine (Juni's sister) was really funny, because even before the choir came out she screamed quite loudly, and it so happened that everyone kept quiet too, so it was like "whoa...".
Everyone heard her scream.
Like it was only her. (haha!)
Yeah that was pretty funny.

The first song for the night gave me goosebumps.
It was so weird.
Like some ancient foreign language that i totally couldn't understand.

Overall i enjoyed the song "mamma mia" the most.
As well as "dancing queen".
Maybe its because i am playing it for my band concert and because i know the song already.
Some how when you know the song,
You appreciate it better.
Oh but the cresent choir really sounded good tonight.
Like... angels.
Some certainly did not looked like them.
But they sure sounded like em.

An sorry for the deficiency in photographs, i didn't have my camera with me because my bro took it. But the place and lights were fantastic.
Just use your imagination to make up for it. ;)

Japan/Nippon/whatever its called....

I am pining for you...
Can't wait for the Japan Trip.
Literally.
Hope its gonna be a blast!

Yes We Can.

No wonder Obama won.
That was so inspiring.

Sneakers: Keds or Converse?

Keds are For the Cool Kids

Nov 12, 2008 @ 4:43pm

keds and genart made a pretty sneaker.jpgKeds were our sneaker of choice in grade school, but they haven't been since - and we're sure we're not alone in this.

But have you seen the sneakers they had some GenArt kids design?

At left, is the limited-edition design by artist Anne Faith Nichols, of British Columbia. They're blue, there's a bird, they're $60 and they even come in half sizes - in short, they're kind of perfect for jeans on the weekends and printed mini-dresses for Spring.

Plus, wearing them around would be a little like time traveling - and who didn't want to do that in sixth grade?

I hope when I go to Osaka...

This happens.
I 'stole' it from someone's blog.
And i don't even know that someone, i just googled 'Snow in Osaka" and it came up.
Well at least, i linked him.

And so it is Done!

Haha!
My Artwork or rather Masterpieces are DONE!
Its all like 1 collection, but like 4 separate pieces painted.
Lovely ain't it?
Honestly, in my opinion, the photos don't do them justice.
Cause i used my handphone to snapshot em.
I love them.
And if you do too, drop me a comment and contact me.
I would love to share the joy with you too.
I might even consider selling them. (;

"If Son will set you free, and you will be free indeed..."
- (I know its somewhere from the Bible but i don't know where exactly.
And i think i paraphrased it. Whoopsy!)

"So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.
- (Okay this one's from the REAL thing. Its from the Bible, from the New American Standard. Taken from John 8:36. I decided i better get it right, i mean after all this IS the Bible right?
Better not quote wrongly.)

I feel like a pig. These days all i do is sleep, eat, watch tv.
And it all starts again.
Its like an endless cycle of pig-ish daily activities.
Sigh.
I want something excitin to come along.
Like an adventure! You know?!??!
P.S (you know when i am so bored and my imagination's all dead when i put the date as the title)

Nevermind its quite alright, boredom is all part of the epic we call 'Life'.
But also, on the other hand, like they say, "Boredom is the Devil's playground,
So i think i better be careful.

Anyways, i do have something to look forward to.
The Japan Trip.
I am so worried that i will be disappointed that it wont be as cold as i think it will be.
I want it to snow!
Snow snow snow!
So i'll sing in full confidence, "Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow!"
Haha... Alright that was lame.
But whatever man.

You know sometimes, life is so weird.
Or rather humans.
Its like we know what we have to do, but we don't really do it.
We say we want change but secretly in our hearts desire to stay the way we are.
We still hang on to the old stuff.
Its like this...
Picture this in your head.
A child is crying and saying "STOP THE PAIN! STOP THE PAIN!"
While beating himself (and that is the cause of the pain, yes his not beating himself because of the pain.)
Its so... weird right?
Okay actually i meant to say ironic but people keep saying i use it wrongly.
So just to be politically correct, i'll use weird.
I mean what's our problem?
Why can't we let go?
I think everyone has a little something in them they haven't let go off.
Deep deep deep way down in our hearts.
I know i do.
I guess its just human.
And i guess that there is always God to help us let go.
Surrender.
I think thats really the issue or the thing we can't do too well.
If we were graded in it, i think we all get a C,D,E or F.
And thats why we are human, and that is also why He is God.
(an afterthought, wow pris you actually came up with something that makes sense, well done..)

Interesting observation from a 'boring-and-seemingly-unproductive-day' eh?
See. In the boring we have interest.
Okay that either is a very abstract thought, or its just crap.
I think its the latter though.
(haha...)
So, the point is.......... being bored does have its plus points and it does have its minus points just like any other thing.
I guess?
Sometimes i wonder if i make sense.
At all.
Sometimes.

The Perfect Loungey Music...

Okay, so the video's nothing spectacular.
But the music?
Perfect.
This is by indie singer Adele and she's probably only about 19.
Her vocals are so good.
Their so soothing.
Deep, and rich, unusual for a girl.
The second song "Hometown Glory" sounds a bit like apologize at the beginning.
Especially the piano intro.
But oh gosh, its so good.
